1) How is the built-quality?

A. Realme1: Back-body is of Fibre-Glass, which is quite an average.

Redmi Y2: It comes with the plastic-type material, which is pretty average quality.

Result: Both phones offer the average-built quality.

2) Which phone attracts more people?

A. Realme1: As it comes with Fiber-glass along with diamond-cut finish, it looks more stunning and attractive to the people.

Redmi Y2: We all know, plastic phones can’t grab any attention.

Result: Realme1 Winner.

3) What about the display?

A. Realme1:  The Realme flaunts a big 6-inch Full HD+ display which reproduces vibrant and detailed images.

Redmi Y2: It comes with 5.99-inch HD display which is not as great as Realme1, you can’t experience perfect image quality and Full HD movies in Redmi Y2.

Result: Realme1 Winner

4) Does it offer extra memory slot and Dual-SIM option?

A. Realme1: It offers, the dual-SIM option along with Micro-SD slot and can be expandable up to 256GB.

Redmi Y2:  It offers, the dual-SIM option along with Micro-SD slot and can be expandable up to 256GB.

A. Realme1: Yes

A. Redme1: No

7) How is the call quality?

A. Redmi1: Call quality is good enough and comes with secondary Noise cancellation which doesn’t pick unnecessary noise like vehicle sounds.

Realme Y2: Call quality is fine, but it doesn’t come with secondary Noise cancellation. But it doesn’t make much difference.

Result: Redmi1 winner.

8) How is the speaker quality?

A. Result: Both the phones have same sound output quality and are pretty loud enough.

9) How is the Audio from 3.5MM Jack?

A. Realme1: The sound quality is good from the Jack and you can adjust settings of Bass, Midrange and treble according to you.

Redmi Y2: The sound quality is normal and doesn’t provide the option to adjust settings of sound quality.

Result: Realme1 Winner.

9) What about the Sensors?

A. Result: Redmi Y2 has the slight advantage over Realmi 1 as it Redmi offers little more sensors option but both the phone comes with basic and usable sensors.

Main Missing Sensor in Realmi 1 is the fingerprint sensor.

10) Does it have Face-Unlock?

A. Realme1: To unlock the phone, it uses AI even to provide more security and performs faster than Redmi Y2 even. But both the phones don’t perform well in low-light conditions.

Redmi Y2: It supports face-unlock but I won’t recommend using this as your primary security option as it doesn’t work based on AI.

11) Can we control other electronics like TV, AC?

A. Realme1: Due to absence IR blaster sensor we cannot control any other electronics.

Redmi Y2: It has IR blaster which helps you to control other electronic like AC, TV.

Result: Redmi Y2 Winner

12) Do these phones get regular updates?

A. Redmi Y2: Presently it runs on Android Oreo but not sure that it gets Android P update.

Realmi1: Android P software update will come to Realme 1.

Result: Realmi1.

13) How is the service offered by both the phones?

A. Result: Realmi is a part of Oppo, so there is no need to worry about service and on the other hand Xiaomi Redmi Y2 also offers better service.

14) What about camera quality?

A. Realmi1: The Realme 1 is equipped with a single 13MP camera on the back and 8MP on the front, along with a simple LED flash.

It doesn’t have the portrait mode, it blurs background based on AI( Artificial Intelligence )

The secondary camera is absent.

Doesn’t Supports slow motion recording.

It also has Electronic Image Stabilization.

Video quality is pretty good in Realmi1 it enhances the brightness lot more than the Redmi Y2.

It gives best images in portrait Mode as portrait mode is enabled

Comes with EIS but the quality of the video is not performing well in low-lighting condition compared to Realmi 1.

15) What about the Battery life?

A. Realme1: It has 3410mH battery, on regular usage, you can use this for a working day.

Redmi Y2: It has 3000mH battery, however, on regular usage, you can use this for a working day

Result: Both are good.

16) Does it support fast-charging and how much time it takes to charge 0-100?

A. Realme1: No, it doesn’t get fast-charging support and it takes 2 hr 15 minutes to complete full-charge.

Redmi Y2: No, it doesn’t come with fast-charging and it takes 1 hr 45 minutes to complete full-charge.

Result: Redmi Y2 Winner.

17) How is RAM-management?

A. Redmi Y2: Redmi Y2 in India in two variants.

While the base variant will come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, the top variant will be equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. Redmi Y2 RAM management is very good.

Realme1: Realme 1 price in India starts at Rs. 8,990 for the 3GB RAM variant and Rs. 13,990 for the 6GB RAM option.

Result: When you consider higher varients model of these smartphones, RAM management will be nice but when you compare with the base variant it Redmi Y2 outperforms.

18) What about the processor of these smartphones?

A. Realme1: It packs with MediaTek Helio P60,

Redmi Y1: It has Snapdragon 625 processor.

Result: When compared to Snapdragon 625 processor, Helio P60  is way better so you won’t notice any lags while playing high-graphical games.

But slightly heating issue is noticed in Realme1 compared to Redme Y1.
