Taj mahal gets two new Air Purifiers to safeguard from turning yellow


We all know that the pollution in Delhi reached to a dangerous extent.

However, the latest updates state that there are strong winds that are expected to slow down the pollution and no matter what the Air Quality remains very poor.

Weather experts said that Cyclone Maha and a western disturbance will cause rain in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi NCR and thus it can be a positive factor to improve the situation.

With serious pollution effect, the Taj Mahal one of the seven wonders of the world can be most affected and complete care needs to be taken.

The government even slammed authorities for not doing the proper structuring to safeguard the monument.

Even, the Government advised scientists, if they cannot resolve this problem and are supposed to contact foreign experts and conservationists to solve the problem.

How to safeguard and move ahead

Delhi is completely engulfed with a thick layer of smog which even affects the visibility of the travelers.

Even the public health emergency is also declared due to the serious pollution affects in Delhi.

According to the official reports, the smog levels are gradually increasing and authorities need to act as soon as possible.

To protect the marble of the Taj Mahal, authorities have parked a van with an air purifier near the Taj Mahal.

Bhuvan Yadav, Regional Officer of UPPCB also shared that a van with Air Purifier is placed at the west gate of the Taj Mahal due to impurities in the atmosphere which can affect the color of the Taj Mahal.

Taj Mahal can turn yellow

Surrounds of the Taj Mahal within a radius of 3 to 4 km there’s a river which is polluted and it still remains the same till now.

With serious Air pollutants, the white marble can degrade slowly over time and with the extreme pollution which can turn the white marble into yellow.

Maintenance of the monument

With continuous exposure of pollutants, the monument needs to be maintained quite often with the special clay mineral to clean the marble.

It pulls away from the impurities from the Marble surface and later washed with pure clean water to restore the shine.

Being one of the seven wonders of the world, there’s a huge responsibility for Government authorities to rectify the things happens in and around the Taj Mahal to reduce serious pollution.
